The basic concept of a stud poker game is that every player has a certain number of cards face up and certain number of cards face down. After that another betting round starts, and then another card is dealt face up and another betting round takes place. The last round takes place when the last and final seventh card is dealt faced down, in the end each player still remaining in the pot should have three cards face down and four cards face up.

When all the betting rounds have finished finally there is showdown and the player with best five card poker hand wins the pot.
